Song Review:

Deep Water

Overall Impression:

Nolan Bruce Allen and his talented companions skillfully call up a Western Swing classic with soothing musicality in "Deep Water" - enriching the popular tune through warm vocal deliveries and a delightfully understated instrumental feel!

Strongest Point(s):

Nolan's voice really shines in this one!  Evenly trading bars with the rest of the band, those moments that feature the singer showcase a rich tone and an approach aligned with classic crooning - embracing the listener in an inviting auditory tone palette and connecting them stylistically with the amorous theme of the song's lyrics.  Lovely vocal harmonies further expand the tune's texture and the group shows excellent dynamic control throughout the experience as well, keeping things light and tidy!

Target Audience Appeal:

Very much representative of the Jazzy, swaying energies of Western Swing, NBA's rendition of "Deep Water" manages to keep those brisk and bouncing tendencies under artful control for a laid-back and breezy experience!  Fans of the genre and of especially tight musical groups will find Nolan Bruce Allen's "Deep Water" delightful! - Jon W.
